4-Night/5-Day "Songwriter Camp" Aug 26-30, 2011
The shining jewel of CharlieFest is the songwriter camp itself which includes 4 nights lodging in gorgeous cabins, 11 hot home cooked meals, campfire song shares (w/FREE Marshmallows!), and loads and loads of collaborative songwriting and recording with other great songwriters and players in a beautiful 400 acre facility on Ryerson Lake. Hiking, boating, swimming, fishing, bike riding, and suntanning are all available for your enjoyment in-between writing and recording sessions.

Fri Aug 26th
1pm: Check in, cabin move-in
2pm: Afternoon writing session
7pm: Welcome Dinner, introductions, select collaboration teams
8pm: Evening writing session
10pm: Campfire song share
Sat Aug 27th
8am-9am: Breakfast is served
9am: Morning writing session
1pm: Lunch is served
2pm: Afternoon writing session
4pm: Shows in Fremont for performers

4pm-7pm - Veterans Park Amphitheater
8pm-10pm - Moose Lodge
At Camp (for those who want to stay at camp rather than come to town)
5pm: Evening writing/recording sessions
7pm: (No dinner served, sorry, we're eating in town)
11pm: Campfire song share

8am-9am: Breakfast is served
9am: Morning writing/recording session
1pm: Lunch is served
2pm: Afternoon writing/recording session

9am: Morning writing/recording sessions

7pm: Dinner is served, listen to recordings thus far

1am: CDRs burned of all recorded songs for all songwriters

SongCamp Facilities
The SongCamp is hosted at the YMCA Camp Echo, and the camp's facilities are spectacular...
First off, it has almost 500 acres of land tucked in around Ryerson Lake just 5 miles from Fremont Michigan:
Our Song Share Campfires will probably take place here in the beautiful lakeside Amphitheater:
Our meals will be prepared by the wonderful Chef Laurie, with an emphasis on healthy living and local produce, and will be served in the Dining Hall pictured below:
Attendees can hike or bike on the many miles of nature trails, or take part in water sport activities:
Our recording studios and sleeping quarters will be housed in heated cabins like these:
